I am a person who loves adventure and has a strong drive to be active. I grew up playing basketball, softball, volleyball and track and field. I enjoyed team sports and working hard to do your best. I also began to learn the importance of how health and fitness can affect your overall well being. I have a serious family history of heart disease, and after my youngest child turned 4 years old I began getting active and started working out again. My doctors made several encouraging comments to get me moving simply for my heart health. It was on that journey that I developed a passion for fitness.
I love to run and have completed 8 marathons, 6 half marathons and several 5ks. I have also experienced the thrill of a few adventure races. I have many future goals and challenges I hope to still achieve. Keeping goals is so important and really drives me to focus on the next challenge. I enjoy sharing my passion with others, and it has begun to be natural to encourage those around me to work out and take care of themselves. I am committed to fitness, as it is an everyday part of my life. I am working and learning how to help teach others to make it a part of their life as well.
